I read my first book by Thich Nhat Hanh, "Miracle of Mindfulness," several years ago. I've read many, many more of his writings since then. After this book, as after each of the others, I feel relaxed and energized - it never fails. I'm already looking forward to picking out my next title.
This book would revolutionize American (and international) democracy if politicians and influential corporate executives would read it, but we can all make our own difference in the world, and this book provides a wonderful, spiritual, open minded, and compassionate way of making a positive difference in the world. Whether you are religious or not, Buddhist or non-Buddhist, conservative or liberal, this book has the power to open your mind and heart to the wondrous possibilities of our society.
Thich Nhat Hahn writes clearly and inspiringly about the truth of our nature and the potential of having a human life. Readng his words and deep insights I realized that seeing deeply is an art and a dedicated practice.
